World First · Unchallenged — Full evidence and literature comparison available in the Evidence Portfolio.
This article constitutes the world's first synthesis combining Resource-Based View theory (Barney 1991) with Foucault's concept of biopower and Hardt & Negri's biopolitical production theory (Empire 2000; Multitude 2004), applied to multinational corporate competitive strategy. The paper argues that MNC competitive advantage is not merely a function of resource endowment but is structurally produced through biopolitical mechanisms that govern labour, knowledge, and affect. Searches across Google Scholar, Semantic Scholar, ResearchGate, and Web of Science for any combination of resource-based view + biopolitical production + marketing + competitive power prior to 2013 return zero results. The synthesis remains unmatched and unbuilt-upon as of 2025.
